In Alabama, CPR and AED training for restaurant staff are encouraged but not legally mandated. Good Samaritan laws protect individuals who provide emergency aid from liability. However, local fire departments (like Decatur Fire & Rescue) and organizations frequently partner with local hospitality boards to offer life-saving OSHA also requires adequate supplies (bandages, gloves, etc.) and trained providers, so restaurants need to be trained and have well-stocked kits and trained staff for general injuries, CPR first aid not just choking.
